Business of the Month for May 2016
Marshall County Co-op
The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce in Marshall County is pleased to announce that Marshall County Co-op in Benton has been named “Business of the Month” for the month of April 2016.
The Marshall County Co-op has been supplying farm and home supplies to this community for close to 70 years and about 7 years ago they undertook a complete remodel and expansion which provided us the 10,000 square foot facility that everyone enjoys today. This new store provides a “shopper friendly” environment and is so much more than your average farm store. At the Co-op you will find all kinds of things you need to fit your lifestyle. You will find a heavy emphasis on supplies for animals, such as horses, but you will also find a great variety of pet foods & supplies, as well as lawn and garden supplies and accessories, outdoor work wear, hardware, fencing, clothing, jewelry, yard decorations, bird feeding supplies and a green house full of plants for your flower or vegetable gardens.
“Marshall County Co-op is one of the few independent locally owned farmer cooperatives” said manager Tim Ferrell. “We have survived and prospered because of strong community support and a willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the membership and community.”
Now is the perfect time to stop in and see all that the Marshall County Co-op has to offer this community. Hours for the Co-op are Monday – Saturday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sundays 1:00 to 5:00 pm or give them at call at 527-1323.
